每年由农历正月十四至十六日一连三天的宝福社大伯公请火仪式及大伯公游行是传承了百年的庆典。在正月十四下午2时正，宝福社送社的大伯公金身及香担、手炉至丹绒道光海珠屿大伯公庙请火。宝福社大伯公社员们徒步游行队伍由本头公巷宝福社开始至头条路。然后就乘预先安排的巴士及车队前往海珠屿大伯公庙。
晚上10时正，社理事及社员齐聚海珠屿大伯公庙准备在海水涨潮时开始请火仪式。只有男性社员被准许参加请火仪式。在请火前，庙内的灯火全被熄灭（电灯、蜡烛、油灯）。然后，社友们就开始把香炉里所有点燃的香头折了放进香担内的火鼎内。社友以扇子煽火鼎，直到发火焰为止。前后煽三次，三次以火焰的强弱来预测未来。严格上来说，宝福社大伯公的请火仪式就是在元宵子时进行。请火仪式完毕后，庙内的灯火重新点亮，才让善男信女进庙膜拜。
The century old annual ritual of Poh Hock Seah Twa Peh Kong Chneah Hoay (“Chneah Hoay” in Hokkien, means Flame-Watching ritual) cum procession is from the 14th day to the 16th day of lunar month 1. At 2p.m. on the 14th day of lunar month 1, Poh Hock Seah send the Twa Peh Kong “kim-sin” (“kim-sin” in Hokkien means statue), Hneoh Tnah (“Hneoh Tnah” in Hokkien means incense basket with holy urn) and “Chiew Lor” (“Chiew Lor” in Hokkien means hand held incense urn) to Tanjong Tokong Thai Pak Kong temple. They have a procession on foot from the Seah at Armenian Street to Magazine Road. And thereafter, by pre-arranged bus to Tanjong Tokong Thai Pak Kong temple.
At 10p.m., all Poh Hock Seah members gathered at the Thai Pak Kong temple to prepare for the Chneah Hoay ceremony which will begin at high tide. Only male members of the Seah are allowed to participate in the Chneah Hoay ceremony. All lights including candle lights and oil lamps in the temple will be put off before the fanning for the flame will begin. They cut off the burning ends of incense sticks and put into the holy urn in the Hneoh Tnah. They start fanning the holy urn which has been filled with cut-off burning ends of incense sticks until the fire has been ignited. The fanning is done three times, each representing the trimester in the coming year. After the flame watching ceremony is over, the lights in the temple are lit again, and public are allowed to enter the temple to worship.
